Lee Wilson will step up to become Outwood Grange Academies Trust鈥檚 (OGAT) new permanent chief executive 鈥� taking over from Sir Martyn Oliver who left for Ofsted. Wilson was said to be the 鈥渟tand-out candidate in a very strong field鈥�, and has been doing the job on an interim basis since November. Previous he was the 35-school trust鈥檚 deputy chief executive. He鈥檚 been at the trust for 10 years, including overseeing the trust鈥檚 13 primary schools 鈥� of which all those inspected are rated 鈥榞ood鈥� or 鈥榦utstanding鈥�. Wilson said it is with 鈥済reat pleasure and pride that I take on the leadership of our family of schools. 鈥淥utwood Grange Academies Trust is a place where every single person strives to do their very best, every day, to put students first 鈥� and I will ensure that I lead by example to further this culture. 鈥淲e are about to enter an exciting new chapter for the trust putting not just children, but their families and communities, at the heart of what we do. GeogKeogh 23 March 2024 It makes you wonder why Outwood never recruit from the very strong field. It always appears to be the next one in line into whatever role they’re filling.
